COM Express Type6 Model ECM-SKY6U2

The ECM-SKY6U2 core module is equipped with Intel 6th-generation Skylake-U low-power processors, with options of i7-6600U (up to 3.4 GHz), i5-6300U (up to 3.0 GHz), and i3-6100U (up to 2.3 GHz). All SKUs adopt a 2-core 4-thread design with a 15 W TDP and integrated Intel HD Graphics 520, delivering a well-balanced combination of compute and graphics performance within a low-power envelope. Built to the COM Express Type 6 Compact standard with a compact 95 × 95 mm footprint, it is ideal for industrial panel PCs, portable devices and space-constrained embedded systems.

The module uses a dual-channel DDR4 2133 MHz SO-DIMM architecture, supporting up to 16 GB memory via 2 × SO-DIMM sockets to meet lightweight multi-tasking demands. The expansion interface provides 1 × PCIe x4 lane (configurable as 1 × PCIe 2x + 2 × PCIe 1x), enabling connections to lightweight expansion cards, WiFi/4G modules, compact data acquisition cards and other peripherals. Display outputs include DDI (configurable HDMI/DVI/DP), VGA and eDP-to-LVDS (eDP optional). DP/eDP supports up to 4096 × 2304 @ 60 Hz, while HDMI reaches a maximum resolution of 4096 × 2304 @ 24 Hz, catering to industrial display and multi-screen applications.

In terms of I/O configuration, the ECM-SKY6U2 integrates an Intel I219 Gigabit Ethernet controller. 4 × USB 3.0 and 4 × USB 2.0 ports simplify peripheral connections; 3 × SATA 3.0 ports (quantity varies by CPU model) offer flexible storage expansion. It also features 1 × HDA audio, 8-bit GPIO, LPC, SMBus, 1 × serial port, watchdog timer and TPM 2.0 security chip, delivering comprehensive industrial connectivity and hardware security. It supports dual ATX/AT power modes with a maximum power consumption of 54 W. The operating temperature range spans 0 ~ 60 °C, and storage temperature ranges from -40 ~ 85 °C. It is compatible with Windows 10 1809 RS5 and Yocto 2.4 Rocko Linux. This module is widely deployed in low-power embedded applications requiring low power draw, compact size and high stability, including industrial panel PCs, portable inspection instruments, embedded control terminals, in-vehicle infotainment systems, smart retail hardware and medical monitoring devices.
