ECD-TYPE7A COM Express Type 7 Carrier Board

ECD-TYPE7A is a standard carrier board designed exclusively for COM-Express Type 7 core modules. Adopting the ATX form factor of 304.8×243.8mm, it offers ample space and powerful expansion capability. The Type 7 specification focuses on network communication and high-speed interconnection, and this carrier board is fully tailored for such features.

The expansion slots stand out as the key highlight of ECD-TYPE7A. It comes with 1×PCIe x16, 1×PCIe x8 and 2×PCIe x4, enabling parallel installation of multiple high-speed network adapters, NVMe HBAs, FPGA accelerator cards, etc., to meet the requirements of network virtualization and software-defined storage. For storage, it provides 2×SATA3.0 interfaces. The front panel is equipped with 4×USB3.0 and 1×RJ45 LAN port. Dual DB9 serial ports are available to fulfill industrial RS232 communication demands.

For development and debugging, the carrier board integrates CPLD, CGBC, LPC, 2×I2C, GPIO and front panel (FPANEL) interfaces, delivering comprehensive support for system development and validation. Sleep Button and LID Button are supported. It accepts dual-mode power input: ATX (VCC) and DC (12~19V). Operating temperature ranges from 0~60℃, storage temperature from -40~85℃. It is compatible with Windows and Linux. Suitable application scenarios include network communication equipment, edge storage servers, telecommunication devices, network security platforms and other systems based on Type 7 core modules.
